WELLNESS & NATURE

Much of society has lost its connection to nature; we will work to understand and address this. Recognising that there are huge mental and physical benefits to time spent in nature, we will share what we have for the benefit of others.

NATURE-BASED ACTIVITIES

We offer a variety of nature-centric events to educate, enrich life and grow community.

MEN’S MENTAL FITNESS GROUP

Meeting outside the Nevill Bull pub, this monthly Saturday meet up is a positive space to check in, share life’s challenges and learn tools to improve your mental fitness. Each meet up includes an invigorating walk or physical exercise, surrounded by nature.

KIDS’ EDUCATION

Our education programmes are run from Badgells Wood. We’ve hosted students from local schools to learn about small-scale ecosystems, the nutrient cycle, soil health, fungal network, and food webs – all whilst surrounded by the wonders of the natural world.

We also host Wild Things Summer Camp, School of Nature & Bushcraft and the Children’s House Montessori Forest School.

NATURE’S GOODS

Our space at The Nuttery hosts Nature’s Goods – a small business that blends artistry and wellness – where the ancient craft of pottery intertwines with the nurturing power of natural skincare. At Nature’s Goods’ studio, you will also find a café where they serve delicious homemade cakes and light lunches, all served on the plates and in the cups made on site.

Clay Wellness – promotes team bonding, self-awareness, and mindfulness through clay sculpting with Nature’s Goods. Crafting individual hand-built ceramic pieces, guided by the principles of Gestalt theory.

Natural Skincare – Understanding the mind-skin connection, an introduction to natural essential oils and ingredients. Finish the session by crafting your unique clay mask, facial oil & facial mist.

THE WALLED GARDEN

Planning Permission has been approved for the restoration of a Victorian walled garden with a Centre for Integrated Wellness & Healthcare. We view the development as a sanctuary, a place to restore the mind, body and spirit.

Humans are hard-wired to connect to the natural world and there is growing evidence that access to nature can have profound healing qualities.

It is our ambition to transform the site into a professional environment providing a range of therapies, treatments, exercise and healthy food to provide a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
